THE MONA-WOH STORY.

Justine Nabanjala Mukiibi is a seasoned Organizational Development (OD) practitioner, trainer, and passionate advocate for personal rediscovery and purpose. With over 20 years of experience, she merges professional expertise in culture and productivity with deep spiritual grounding gained through her own journey as a single mother. She believes that true empowerment and sustainable impact begin with identifying and aligning one’s life purpose with divine calling.

As a founding partner of the MONA-WOH, Justine dedicates her work to supporting marginalized single mothers through spiritual empowerment, helping them rediscover their identity, embrace their feminine power, and find fulfillment in both career and parenting. Her approach integrates organizational development principles with faith-based mentorship to ignite purpose-driven living

In the quiet moments of struggle, when Justine found herself navigating motherhood alone, the world offered no manual only moments of prayer, survival, and grace. As a single mother, Justine faced what many women do: the relentless demand to be both the nurturer and the provider, the protector and the visionary. But amid the chaos, she heard a divine whisper-reminding her that even in brokenness, there is purpose; even in solitude, there is strength.

From boardrooms to prayer rooms, Justine built a life that harmonized her career ambitions with her spiritual calling. She realized that true empowerment for women especially single mothers must come from within. It must be rooted not only in skills and knowledge but in a deep, soul-level awakening to one’s divine identity and purpose.

Thus, the MONA-WOH was born- not just as an organization, but as a movement. A safe space where single mothers can recover their voice, rediscover their worth, and reconnect to the divine blueprint written uniquely for them. MONA-WOH stands as a testament that motherhood is not a setback but a sacred calling; that every woman, no matter her story, carries within her the power to transform her life and the lives of those around her.

This is not just Justine’s story-it is the story of every woman who refuses to be defined by circumstance and chooses instead to be led by divine purpose. MONA-WOH walks with them, helping each mother turn pain into power, and survival into significance.

MONA-WOH

MOTHER OF NATIONS ON THE WAY OF HOLINESS

Genesis 25:22-23. Whereas Rebecca thought that she was carrying mere twins, God corrected her that they were instead nations in her womb! And that though were nurtured in the same space, they were totally different individuals; and upon birth, they were going to live different lives.

This is the beginning of a mother’s job description, which is entirely dependent on what God says each nation shall grow into becoming. Again, it brings in an individual’s bigger picture for his life and living purposefully in general.

The ‘Way of Holiness’ comes in to emphasise God’s plan and Will for man’s proper and successful living. For family to be regarded the core fiber of society comes from the fact that it was divinely designed to co-create, nurture and produce individuals that create formidable communities and nations.

This is meant to done by both the Man and a woman. While man draws his strength and stability from the woman, she is the divine Nurturer. Man comes in as the security and provider in partnership with God as an overall Chief, for lack of a better word!

“Nurture the Spirit”

Genesis 2:7 states how the Spirit of God was breathed into man to give him life. This is a scriptural basis to confirm that man is a spiritual being living in a physical body. Clearly, man’s existence is not as abstract and empty as the world would want us to think.

According to God’s creation plan for Man, there is something that man has to do and accomplish; and that is Purpose- everyone’s reason of being given the special gift of breath (Life). This not only creates meaning to every living being but also gives relevance to them the doers and accomplishers of Purpose. Relevance therefore is the benefit and reward to those that have lived a purposeful life.

It is high time Mothers woke up to God’s truths that we are mandated to raise nations out of the children He gifts us. And indeed, we are stewardesses partnering with him to raise them according to His blueprint only accessed when we listen to and obey what He tells us and how to do it.

“Reinvent Self to Redefine Purpose”.

Clearly, society has distorted so much!! Sadly, it has become quite hard to tell the Truths from the looming lies that spread like a wild fire. And what fuels the fires?

Holiness should not be a scary concept in day to day living, it is rather man’s reliance on God and His Word- both the written and the revealed! Mona-woh therefore in its service to its members, firmly stands on this Word.

Uganda’s recent national population and housing census 2024 preliminary report shows a staggering figure of 45% men as absentee fathers with either very minimal involvement or total lack of it in their children’s wellbeing and upbringing.

Therefore, has Man abdicated his divine positions and relegated his responsibilities to ‘whoever it may concern’?

From a family development point of view, this figure shows a serious and massive brokenness of different kinds and magnitude to all parties involved; mothers, fathers and children. Whether it is something that is being passed on for generations, someone has got to rise up and highlight it as a vice that has to be stopped through collective, concerted and intentional efforts.

On a divine call in Isaiah 40:3-5, Mona-woh comes to prepare individual single mothers for a divine mandate to prepare the Lord’s Way of Holiness. It is from this wilderness (state of brokenness) that divine work is done for God’s glory to be revealed through these mothers; and for the world to eventually witness it in a magnificent way.

Mona-woh takes a holistic approach that focuses on the spiritual aspect of supporting a broken, fallen and lost single mother to get back on her feet; rediscover who she is in the eyes of her Creator and then reclaim her divine purpose from societal distortions.

Taking the healing and recovery work on herself first and then towards her children, family and those around her will not only create safe spaces for meaningful living but it is for impactful and long standing results.
